It used to drive Heidi, Ron and I crazy when a touring band would pull up to a club and not have a loft in their van.  I’d always show them our setup and proudly tell them about the time bad guys broke into our van but couldn’t steal our gear.  Installing lofts in other bands’ vans parked in the front yard at our Plum Street house got to be a routine event—we could do it in an afternoon. This diagram, illustrated by Ron Albertson and written by me, was created in the mid-90s, possibly for some DIY music publication like Maximum Rocknroll’s, “Book your own Fuckin’ Life”.  If anyone knows where this ended up, Facebook me.
